Times Now appoints Vaishali Sharma as VP, Marketing

She comes in here from BBC Global News Division where she was Head of Marcomms for South Asia.

Times Now has found its new Marketing Head in Vaishali Sharma who has joined the news channel on 4^th July, 2011 as Vice President, Marketing. Vaishali would be based out of Mumbai. Recently, Vishal Desai, who was heading the marketing team at Times Now as Sr. Manager, Marketing, had moved to Colors as Associate Director Marketing.

Prior to this, Vaisali was Head of Marcomms for South Asia at BBC Global News Division. She joined BBC in June 2006 and stayed with the organization for close to 5 years. Vaishali was promoted to Marcomms head position in May 2008.

Vaishali had joined BBC from Walt Disney where she spent 2 years as Marketing Head. She had 2 years stint in advertising industry also before she opted a career into television with Walt Disney. She was AVP with JWT from 2002 to 2004.
