If Adrian Miller's exit from JWT Delhi was a bad news for JWT Delhi, its branch head, Managing Partner and Sr. Vice President Rohit Ohri's resignation is a big jolt for the third largest JWT office in the world. Rohit Ohri has put in his papers at the agency.

Making the announcement, Colvyn Harris, Chief Executive Officer, JWT India said that Rohit Ohri has decided to step down from his role as Senior VP and Managing Partner at JWT Delhi after 21 years with the agency.

Colvyn Harris, JWT India CEO said, "Rohit has had a long and successful innings with us, and he has decided to leave for personal reasons to pursue other opportunities".

Ohri is all set to head Dentsu India as Executive Chairman from August 1, 2011, the position which is vacant after Sandeep Goyal's exit. However, there is no much clarity if Ohri will be offered any stake in Dentsu India like Sandeep Goyal, but highly placed sources in the industry informed BestMediaInfo.com that Dentsu has made a much lucrative offer to him.

Since his joining in April 1990, in JWT Kolkata, Rohit has played an integral role in JWT Delhi  to become one of the largest JWT offices in the network today. During his career with JWT, Ohri has stewarded many client relationships on some of the largest brands in India.

“It has been a good  21 year journey with JWT, working with some of the best and brightest people in the industry and being part of the agency's rise,” stated Ohri. “It is time now for me to explore other opportunities. I have enjoyed my many years at JWT; the agency will always be special.”

Ohri's resignation is effective 31 July. Colvyn Harris and the senior account leadership team within the client and brand business units in JWT Delhi will ensure a smooth transition in the next few months while they appoint a successor. The creative team structure of 5 Executive Creative Directors and Executive Planning Directors structure remains unchanged.
