Nimbuzz spreads the buzz

Hits 50 million registered users worldwide; adds more than 28 million user in less than a year.

Nimbuzz (www.nimbuzz.com), the free messaging and mobile social entertainment application for the connected generation, has announced a major milestone for the company, the achievement of 50 million worldwide registered users. Nimbuzz combines the powers of the Internet and mobile communications into one and allows users to meet, share and connect with family and friends.

Since July 2010 Nimbuzz has increased its registered user base by more than 28 million, with 100,000 new users every day. Nimbuzz users spend on average two and a half hours per day communicating via the mobile app and more than 4 hours via the desktop application.

Nimbuzz Ping, the world’s first SMS based push notification system for feature phones, has been an important driver of the growth. Users in Indonesia love it, and Nimbuzz users from all around the world also want this feature in their country.
