Volkswagen & Red FM organize a cleanliness drive

Join hands to promote a more resource friendly and greener lifestyle.

Volkswagen Passenger Cars and Red FM have joined hands to promote a more resource friendly and greener lifestyle. As a part of the campaign a cleanliness drive was organized in Mumbai on the 20th of May in 4 markets areas.

MAFCO market in Andheri, Navalkar Market in Jogeshwari, Plaza Market in Dadar and Chembur Naka Market were cleaned by BMC workers and volunteers from Red FM and Volkswagen Passenger Cars between 10am and 4pm on 20th May. Mr. Kargavkar, Chairman of Garden Committee BMC, flagged off the cleanliness drive at Andheri MAFCO market at 11am. On air, Red FM is inviting listeners to share their habit that help preserve the environment. Red FM also provided regular updates of the clean up drive on air on all its shows on the 20th May.

Commenting on the initiative, Rana Barua Business Head Red FM 93.5 Network said, “We need to not only develop smarter, sustainable technology for a greener planet but also educate citizens about ways in which they can make a meaningful contribution. Volkswagen has launched the ‘Think Blue’ which is the new Green, campaign to instil awareness in Mumbaikers and we are using the airwaves to educate and inform citizens at large. Morning No.1 with Malishka (Mon-Friday 7-11am) has also started a Facebook group ‘93.5 Red FM Car Pool’that will help Mumbaikers who want to carpool find like-minded people online.”
