This summer, India's favouMiD DAY pledges to create awareness and protect its citizens from the hazards of smoking. On World No Tobacco Day, MiD DAY bares the heat and takes to the streets to educate the masses about the ill effects of tobacco consumption. MiD DAY has launched a citizen initiative titled Smoke Free City urging the people to pledge to kick the butt on 31st May.
Over the past 20 years, on World No Tobacco Day, various organisations all over the world unite towards spreading the message of kicking the butt and leading a healthy life. This year, join MiD DAY in putting out the killer flame before it clogs the lives of the nation's youth. MiD DAY urges all to pledge and light up their lives instead of cigarettes and also pledge to keep your friend, colleague, boss, spouse or even your shopkeeper at bay from smoking.
MiD DAY has issued the clarion call to make the cities a smoke free city for 24 hours on 31st May, now it's your turn.
Says Mohit Sainani – Head Marketing MiD DAY Infomedia Ltd “MiD DAY has been battling for this cause in its own small way for the past 5 years. This year we are calling the nation to step up on 31st May and ensure that they pledge to keep their cities a smoke free city for one day. This is a first goal and a first step that we intend to achieve and we will continue with initiatives on these lines to make a difference and create an Impact in this zone.”
Speaking of the initiative, MiD DAY MD & CEO Manajit Ghoshal said, “No Smoking initiatives have been very close to our heart. We spread awareness about the health hazards connected to smoking every year. We hope Smoke Free City as an initiative goes a long way to not only spread awareness but encourage people to eventually lead a healthy lifestyle.”
