Lokmat elevates Jwalant Swaroop as COO

In the new leadership role, Swaroop will handle the Publishing and Events businesses of the organization.

Lokmat Media Ltd. has elevated Jwalant Swaroop as the Chief Operating Officer effective from next month. In the new leadership role, Swaroop will handle the Publishing and Events businesses of the organization. He will be based out of Mumbai. Prior to this, he was Director-Advertising.

Speaking to BestMediaInfo.com, Swaroop said, “I'm ready to take the bigger challenges in the new role where my priorities would be to take the company to the greater heights in the new competitive environment. Swaroop has been associated with Lokmat since 1992 and has been a key member of the leadership team handling the advertising sales function. His strategic vision and entrepreneurial capacity led to Lokmat achieving its sales targets over the years. He has over 26 years of experience in the newspaper industry.

Swaroop holds a bachelor's degree in commerce from University of Allahabad and a degree in law from the University of Nagpur.
