Star India launches Star Plus and 4 other channels in Asli HD
Unveils new corporate logo; Asli HD™ format includes Star Plus, Star Movies, Star Gold, Star World and Nat Geo.

Star India Pvt Ltd, India's No. 1, television network, today sparked off a high-definition revolution by offering five of India's most loved channels in HD. On this occasion, Star also unveiled its new corporate logo- Hot Star.
Star Plus, Star Movies, Star Gold, Star World and Nat Geo, will now be also available in Asli HD. Also, this is the first time in popular entertainment that a mass general entertainment channel like Star Plus is going HD in India.
This evolutionary move will enable India's burgeoning entertainment industry to rapidly embrace distinctive global technology standards. It will also push almost, half of popular TV entertainment category towards HD.
Star TV is the only network which offers Asli HD content that is shot in HD, recorded and edited in HD and mixed for 5.1 Dolby surround sound. It involves significant efforts by trained personnel using cutting edge technology and expertise through the entire content and production chain.
Asli HD channels will bear the mark of HD on their respective channel logos.
To enjoy the Asli HD experience, viewers will need a HD television set and subscribe to Star's Asli HD channels on DTH platforms such as Tata Sky + HD. With this set up, viewers can enjoy an exhilarating and unadulterated HD experience.
To mark its two decades of creative leadership in India, Star presented its new corporate logo—the Hot Star, which symbolizes, the zeal to continuously innovate, create and invent for the 21st century India.
