Sonear has entrusted its media planning and buying duties to Carat Media. Sonear, earlier known as Donear, is the flagship brand of Sonear Industries Ltd.Â â a part of the Jitendra Kejriwal Group with a turnover of over Rs. 170 crores â and is among the top three players in the premium Decorative Veneers segment in India.
Donear has been a well respected brand of plywood and laminates for over two decades in the country and recently changed its name to Sonear. It represents an immaculate fusion of the best in quality and creativity and is available across the country in about 1,800 outlets.
Confirming the development, Jitendra Kejriwal, CMD Sonear Industries, said, âThe brand is keen to announce the name change in the marketplace and reassert itself as the supremo in the veneers, laminate and ply industry. Itâs also willing to invest whatever it takes to be the No.1 player in the category. It is learnt that Sonear is planning to hike its annual ad spend 50% this year to over Rs 15 crore.
