publive-imageWhile the Cricket World Cup fever continues to affect the viewership of Hindi general entertainment channels, Colors seems to be back in the race for No.1 spot in the 13th week of TAM 2011. The channel has narrowed the gap with Star Plus to just 18 points according to the latest TAM data released today. Besides Colors, Imagine TV is the only other channel which has gained some GRPs this week.

According to the TAM data released for week 13, the No.1 Hindi general entertainment channel Star Plus has again gone below 300 GRPs after a surprise jump in the last week. Star Plus had recorded the GRPs below 300 for the 4 consecutive weeks from week 8-11. In 13th week, Star Plus has garnered 291 GRPs as compared to 305 in the last week.

Emerging as a surprise packet, Colors is inching closer to the No.1 spot. By adding 15 points in its last week's GRPs, the channel has narrowed gap with Star Plus to 18 GRPs. The second most watched Hindi GEC in the country has garnered 272 GRPs (last week 257).

The week has somehow not been good for Zee TV as the channel has come down to 187 GRPs. In the week 12, the channel had garnered 207 GRPs.

Sony Entertainment Television which had experienced a huge jump of 50 GRPs last week due to the world television premier of movie 'Robot', has now settled at 159 GRPs. Last week, Sony had recorded 183 GRPs.

SAB has maintained the status quo by recording 136 GRPs this week (last week 136).

The No.6 player Imagine TV is the only other gainer this week besides Colors. It had added some GRPs in previous week also. The channel has garnered 81 this week (last week 73).

Star One has garnered 30 GRPs (last week 36) while Sahara One is at 25 GRPs (last week 27).
