Despite being the Deputy Vice President – Marketing at Zee News, Rohit Kumar, where his work revolves around analyzing the TRP numbers and getting maximum mileage for the news channel, he follows his love for the nation and the causes related to its pride, be it environment, health or art and culture. As the result of it, Zee News promotes all the social causes through various on-ground and consumer connect activities on regular basis. Impressed with his endevours to promote art and culture, Management Committee of Faiz Ahmad Faiz celebrations 2011 decided to confer a momento along with citation to Rohit Kumar. The momento was presented to Kumar by Honourable President of India Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil on the 25^th of February at the Vigyan Bhawan, Delhi.

Recently, My Earth My Duty, a Zee News' Climate Change campaign had won the coveted “Rashtriya Rajiv Gandhi Achievement Award 2010 for the Best On AIR CSR campaign in recognition of the strength of a campaign that planted over 73 lac plants in a day and inspired millions of people to plant trees across nation to preserve the nature again worsening environment.
