Colors Celebrates Super Saturday With Thrillers

Launches Wanted - High Alert and Anhoniyon Ka Andhera in the 10 PM & 11 PM slot on Saturdays from 26^th February.

COLORS is set to make Saturday programming thrilling and exhilarating with the launch of its two new shows- 'Wanted - High Alert' and Vikram Bhatt's 'Anhoniyon ka Andhera' in the 10 pm and 11 pm slot respectively; starting Saturday, 26 February 2011. Wanted - High Alert, produced by BAG Films, a crime-based reality show, will bring forth cases of absconding suspects and urge the common man to step up and take charge of his safety. It will be followed by Anhoniyon Ka Andhera, a fresh take on Supernatural drama which will give a spell of horror and send chills down your spine. Adding to this mix will be the existing One Hour Fiction specials at 8 PM followed by dance reality show Chak Dhoom Dhoom Team Challenge at 9 PM making the Shanivaar surely Shandaar.

Talking about the shows, Ashvini Yardi, Programming Head, COLORS says, “Every Saturday viewers can look forward to a variety from fiction drama; dance reality, socially relevant crime series to a supernatural thriller. While Wanted - High Alert is a serious crime reality show, Anhoniyon ka Andhera will give viewers an unusual story of emotions of a couple entangled with the supernatural element. We have placed both the shows in the Saturday weekend band so that we can even cater to the preference of our male audiences across demographic. While we have socially relevant drama, these two shows will introduce crime and supernatural in our diverse programming mix.”

'Wanted - High Alert' is a show that revolves around cases where suspects are moving scot-free  despite strong attempts from the police to bring them behind bars. Debuting as a host on the small screen is the intense and seasoned actor Sushant Singh. He will be seen narrating real life cases of suspects and convicts on the run and sharing the case history, whereabouts' and pictograms of the fugitives that will help viewers identify them better. Each episode will showcase two unsolved cases related to murder, fraud, rape, domestic violence, duping and other dreadful crimes committed. 'Wanted - High Alert' is endeavor of COLORS to get the audiences up in action apart from educating them about the ever rising crime scenario.

Ace Director Vikram Bhatt, known for his horror flicks and expertise in using special effects, will now take COLORS' viewers to a mystical world on the small screen with 'Anhoniyon ka Andhera'. Combining SFX effects with his directorial skills 'Anhoniyon ka Andhera' narrates the story of Anahita Mallik who has the power to converse with the supernatural's and also help others who are suffering with the misery of such powers. A series will comprise of different stories with the same lead characters and their tryst with the paranormal in the lives of different people. The show also marks a come-back on small screen for sprightly actor, Anita Hassanandani as Anahita Mallick. Actor Ajay Chaudhary will be seen playing the role of Anahita's husband, Rohan Mallick.

Wanted - High Alert and Anhoniyon Ka Andhera is part of COLORS programming strategy to make the 'shanivaar' more 'shaandaar' for its viewers through assorted entertainment.
