Mail Today COO Suresh Balakrishna Quits

After the recent exit of Associate Publisher Abhay Desai, the Chief Operating Officer of Mail Today Suresh Balakrishna has called it a day. He resigned from the organization in October and currently serving his six months notice period till end of the March, 2011.
Sources told BestMediaInfo.com that Bala is currently not joining any other organization and might start his own venture soon.
“Replacing him is Aaj Samaj's CEO Rakesh Sharma who will report into Ashish Bagga, CEO, India Today Group,” sources said.
Bala joined India Today Group in 2007 and has been instrumental in the launch of Mail Today. He came to the India Today Group from DNA where he was heading entire sales and marketing. He joined DNA in 2005.
Bala has earlier worked with Zee Entertainment, Hindustan Times and Lintas Media also.
