English movie channel Sony PIX line up of engaging, entertaining and superlative content mix of movies and sporting events are succeeding in engaging with its audiences and drawing in viewers according to data from TAM Media Research.
The channel has beaten Star Movies in week 47 across SEC AB, age group 15 to 44 years in 6 Metros during Prime Time (20.00 hrs to 23.59 hrs). In the week 46 also, PIX outperformed Star Movies and HBO in all day while leaving Star Movies behind in Prime Time. The channel had beaten HBO Prime Time during week 45 to become no. 1 in all day slot.
The channel has consistently over delivered on expectations with blockbusters like The Hurt Locker, Oliver Stone’s South Of The Border, Slumdog Millionaire, Michael Jackson's concert film This is It, and Push.
The channel is recognized for its unique and innovative initiatives to promote its ‘star’ titles e.g. last month with reference to Oscar award winning film ‘The Hurt Locker’ premiering on the channel, it tied up with the local Bomb Detection & Disposal Squad in the metros to honor the efforts taken by the BDDS in protecting our country.
