Dainik Bhaskar Group has always being considerate towards its readers and the changing life of them, continuing this endeavor Dainik Bhaskar Group takes a step ahead by organizing the Bhaskar Champs Scrapbook Activity.
The Main objective behind the Bhaskar Champs Scrapbook activity was to provide a platform to children to show their creativity by with some kind of an interesting and knowledgeable activity during the Summer Holiday's. This activity was done for the children studying in 3rd to 12th standard.
The whole Bhaskar Champs, Scrapbook Activity was done during a span of 8 weeks from 03rd May to 25th June 2010 at 20 cities (Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Kota, Ajmer, Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Baroda, Surat, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Amritsar, Panipat, Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Raipur, Durg-Bhilai, Bilaspur) across the country.
The topics for the activity were printed in Dainik Bhaskar, Divya Bhaskar and also in various magazine of the group. The topics were general and knowledge base topic which would help them enhance their knowledge. Some of the topics “My favourite outdoor games, Awareness about Global warming, my planet earth, My family tree, My favourite place where I would like to visit etc
The Bhaskar Champs, Scrapbook Activity received an over welcoming response of 15,000 entries from all over India out of which 430 scrapbook was shortlisted for the final round. Out of which final 9 children were shortlisted.
The chief guest and jury panelist included various eminent personalities from the field of fine arts, academics, bureaucrats, painters, head of sahoday group, school principals, college faculties etc.
The gala event was organized to felicitate the 9 final winners of the Bhaskar Champs Scrapbook Activity 2010 in Mumbai on 31st August, 2010 by the well-known Actor, Aamir Khan.
Khan was thrilled by the complete effort taken by Dainik Bhaskar Group for encouraging the children in such activity which helps them enhance their knowledge and also helped them in bring out their creativity. He made an effort observed each and every scrapbook with great interest.
Khan also said, “I personally very much like making scrapbook, the activity have reminded me of yesteryears when I was a kid.”
Vinay Maheshwari, National Head Dainik Bhaskar Group commented on the activity “Such kind of initiative is unique in its nature, we as part of society should organize more and more such events keeping children at its centre. With the advent of the technology and social networking, the attachment of the kids with original creativity is subsiding slowly and steadily. “To keep the spirits alive, we at Dainik Bhaskar group thought of coming up with something different this summer and especially for children”
The Bhaskar Champs, Scrapbook Activity proved to be a big hit among the children's across India and soon the group is capitalizing on the same with the formation of the Bhaskar Champs Club (Children Special Club).
