Jay Hind! The World's First Full Format TV Show to air exclusively on the Internet has achieved a record of 100 episodes. The laugh riot will successfully complete 1 year on August 15th, 2010. The bi-weekly Late Night Comedy Show has garnered rave reviews not only in India but also in countries as far apart as USA and Uganda and crossed a hallmark 50 million hits! To celebrate this unprecedented success of their show, producers Mrinal and Abhigyan Jha hosted a celebratory party at the hottest new theme restaurant “The Jail” in Andheri (West). The TV and film fraternity were present in full strength to show their support and join in the celebration.

Abhigyan Jha, Creator & Director of Jay Hind! and co-founder of Undercover Productions says, “Jay Hind! has opened up an altogether new medium for the entire entertainment industry. Taking a cue from the success of our show, more production houses have jumped on the bandwagon and launched shows online. The industry has begun to realise the potential of the medium and we're happy to lead the way. I would like to thank our beloved fans for their support and promise to continue to delight them with rib-tickling humour. I also take this opportunity to thank my tireless team especially the Writing Team headed by the amazing Varun Grover and Rahul Patel and the animation Team headed by rising star Jeevak Muntode!”

Presenting entertainment anytime, anywhere on the go – Jay Hind! is a breakthrough in online entertainment, being the first full-fledged TV show for the Internet populace. A contemporary and edgier version of the comedy of the iconic Movers & Shakers, Jay Hind! gives you the sideways view on India – a view, which in its essential departure from the mainstream picture, will change your very perspective of the nation. It is also a sign of the India that's coming – a strong, proud nation that grins at its ironies and follies.

Sumeet Raghavan, anchor of Jay Hind! says, “Jay Hind! will go down in history as the pioneer and torch-bearer for introducing online entertainment content in our country. I'm really proud to be the face of this phenomenal show and in the coming days Abhigyan & I, along with our tremendous writing & animation team hope to take the show to an altogether astounding level.”

Famous TV actor Rajeev Nigam who plays multiple characters & impersonations on the show including the now iconic “Aam Aadmi” adds, "For an actor of my genre, working with Abhigyan Jha has always been a great experience. He is the same person with whom I did my first show Movers and Shakers, which was the most pathbreaking show on Asian television once. Jay Hind! is just the kind of show that I was hungry to be a part of. It has been an amazing experience as this show has opened up an altogether new medium and audience for me."

The show features a stand-up routine followed by quick one-liners about current events and brief comedy sketches, impromptu street interviews, fake celebrity interviews and performances. One of the main attractions of the show is 'Savitabhabhi Ke Sexy Solutions' – a funny take on Savitabhabhi - the character from the banned portal Savitabhabhi.com. This segment has the sexy and sultry Savitabhabhi tackling chronic global issues such as global warming, world peace, etc. Bhojpuri star Divya Dwivedi who plays the role of Savitabhabhi says, "My fan following has quadrupled through Jay Hind! and now I have a legion of fans across the world. Initially I was apprehensive about the Internet medium, and was unsure about how the character would be perceived, but with someone like Abhigyan Jha at the helm, I did not have to worry. My faith in him and the team is justified by the terrific response to the show. "

Another very popular segment is 'Boothnath', where the producers have installed booths across the country with surveillance cameras, so that people can enter, and vent their anger on anything or anyone. What the couch is to the psychiatrist, Boothnath is to the street. Another innovation which is extremely popular is the LNN segment hosted by a wig wearing range of weirdos all named Barakh Dutta (inspired from the real life Barkha Dutt) – a comedy news channel parodying the news channels of today.

"Nowadays people spend more time on the internet than in front of the television. Statistics indicate that on an average, a user spends approximately 4 hours on the internet everyday and only 2.5 hours watching TV. To the additional credit of the net, it can be accessed anywhere, anytime, on the go. This was a huge untapped potential we saw. Apart from being a first on the internet, Jay Hind! is also the first High Definition (HD) and 16:9 format show in India” added Jha.
