Bindass, the youth-centric channel is reinventing its programming line-up and looking to engage young audiences with its lively and relatable shows. Based on key insights provided by its young viewers, the channel is launching three new shows.

The brand has stood for being an 'enabler of purposive action' encouraging audiences to pursue their dreams through shows like 'Halla Bol' and campaigns like 'Dream Start' and 'b4change'. It now goes a step ahead in engaging these same audiences through innovative themes and themes relevant to them.

Speaking about the evolving viewer preferences, Vijay Subramanium, Vice- President and Head of Content and Communication, bindaas, stated, “With the aim of evolving together with our audiences, the brand is infusing more energy in the content, and exploring themes that are fun, zesty, free-spirited while continuing to be relevant and relatable and developing aspirational characters and stories.”

The three shows that are in the process of being launched have strong, relatable storylines. The show 'Sun Yaar Try Maar' which was launched on October 25, 2015, revolves around the fact that relationships are important to young people but some need to muster up the courage to not just accept love, but also admit it to the other person. An extension of the flagship show, 'Yeh Hai Aashiqui property', 'Sun Yaar Try Maar' will explore stories that capture the journey into eternity.

The show airs every Sunday 7 PM and is produced by Lotus Talkies and has sponsors such as L'oreal and Glam-Up.

The second show in the pipeline is 'Tu Con Main Con' that highlights the different aspirations of youngsters and how they cope with them. The show is all set to premier on November 7, at 7 PM, and will air every Saturday.

'Tu Con Main Con' will give the audience aspirational characters in the form of Dhruv and Tara.

'Kota Toppers' is the first ever sitcom being launched by bindass, which will portray the fun-filled journey of seven quirky IIT aspirants and their interpersonal relationships. 'Kota Toppers' will be spread over 13 weeks, and will also be the first show that will run every Friday on indass. The show is all set to premiere on November 20, at 7 pm, and will run every Friday. Produced by BodhiTree, this show seems to be in talks with several sponsors.

According to Subramaniam, the channel seems to stick to its three-hour original programming strategy and focuses on strengthening its weekend programming line-up. Sometime back the channel experimented with a reality show, 'Nach', which received positive response. When asked about any reality show in the future, Subramaniam said, “We are working on it and the viewers might see something on those lines too.”
