Colors launches light-hearted show Hamari Saas Leela

Premiering on 30^th May, the show will be aired from Monday to Friday at 7 pm slot.

COLORS is all set to venture into a new space of fun light- hearted show with its latest soap – Hamari Saas Leela starting from Monday, May 30 and every Monday to Friday at 7 pm. The mirror of life show is a tale of a noveu rich woman's journey to scout for the perfect bride for her eligible sons. Leela wants the best for her children is reflected from the fact that she wants to see a reflection of herself in her bahus and does not want them to be someone inferior who she can dominate. From your next door auntyji who loves to show off her latest jewellery… to your maasi who loves to sport all the well known brands despite not knowing to pronounce… or your ma who is ever concerned for you… sounds familiar?                                                                          Leela Parekh is someone everybody will relate to and identify with.

Speaking on the launch of the show Ashvini Yardi, Head of Programming, COLORS says, “With the introduction of Hamari Saas Leela we are refreshing the evenings by providing varied content at the 7 pm slot. The show based on a gujrati backdrop offers a blend of humour as well as saas-bahu genres. Unlike our existing shows, Hamari Saas Leela will be an approach towards providing compelling content to our audience. Most of our shows are based on social issues; with this show we are presenting a fun and cheerful series.”

Hamari Saas Leela takes us to the lives of Parekh's, owners of the flourishing MP Masalas who emerge from struggling times in Gondal, Gujarat to residing in a palatial house in Juhu, Mumbai. Madhusudhan Parekh who gives full credit to his success and acknowledges his wife, Leela as his pillar of strength is blessed with 5 children. Leela, a chirpy, full of life and fashion conscious woman is practical and modern who believes that every person has the right to choose his / her life partner. But circumstances change her views drastically which leads her in taking the step of finding the perfect bride for her sons. Hamari Saas Leela is a show about her journey in scouting for the perfect brides, who will be a reflection of her own.
