D&AD Awards Day 2: India bags four more Pencils

D&AD Awards Day 2: India bags four more Pencils

India bagged four Pencils on day 2 of the D&AD Awards. VMLY&R bagged a White and a Wood Pencil in the Impact-local solution, and Health & Wellbeing category, respectively, for ‘The Killer Pack’ campaign for Max Flash. Dentsu Webchutney won a Graphite Pencil on day 2 for its campaign for Vice Media called ‘The Unfiltered History Tour’ in the digital use of XR space category.

EK Type, a collective of type designers focused on designing contemporary Indian typefaces, from India also won a Graphite Pencil on Day 2 for ‘Anek Multiscript Variable Font Family’ campaign for Google in the Type Design and Display category. 

With 37 shortlists, the total number of Pencils bagged by India stands at 26 on Day 2. It had won 22 Pencils on Day 1.

On Day 1, Dentsu Webchutney had won the highest number (7) of Pencils from India for Vice World News’ ‘The Unfiltered History Tour’. The agency won a Yellow Pencil and 3 Graphite Pencils in the Digital/Use of XR, Experiential/USe of AR and PR/Events and Stunts categories. The agency also fetched 3 Wood Pencils in the Digital subcategories Mobile, Physical & Digital and Storytelling. 

The D&AD 2022 awards also had some newer categories to honour Responsible Ideas, campaigns that keep health and wellbeing at the core and also campaigns that championed AR and VR.
