DDB Mudra and Byju's won a silver Lion each in the Industry Craft and Entertainment categories, respectively

Cannes Lions 2022: Dentsu Creative India bags 'only' Gold Lion in Digital Craft category

Dentsu Creative India’s dream run continued on the second day of Cannes Lions 2022. After winning a Grand Prix, a Sliver and two Bronze Lions on Day-1, the agency won India’s only Gold for the country so far.

Its “The Unfiltered History Tour” campaign created for Vice Media won a Gold in the Digital Craft category.

Dentsu Creative had four shortlists in the Digital Craft category. There was no other shortlist from India in this category.

Meanwhile, in the Entertainment category, Byju’s has won a Silver Lion for its ‘Master Ji’ campaign. Byju’s was the lone shortlist from India in the Entertainment category.

DDB Mudra too has won a Silver in the Industry Craft category for Charlie Chaplin Foundation’s ‘A Silent Frown’ campaign. From India, only DDB Mudra had a shortlist in the Industry Craft category.

There are no winners from India in the Film Craft and Design categories. While there were eight shortlists in the Film Craft category, Design had six shortlists in total.

Cannes Lions also announced the winners of Entertainment Lions for Music and Entertainment Lions for Sports, in which there were no shortlists from India.

This brings India’s metal tally to two Grand Prix, one Gold, Five Silvers and two Bronze in two days.
