Dainik Jagran wins two Gold and two Silver at Wan Ifra Asian Media Awards 2019

India Today wins a Gold and a Silver while another Gold is awarded to The Hindu. The Times of India bags a Silver and two Bronze awards followed by Malayala Manorama with a Silver, The Week and The Telegraph with a Bronze each

The Wan Ifra 18th Asian Media Awards were announced last week in Singapore where Dainik Jagran emerged as the most-awarded publication from India, winning two Gold and two Silver awards.

Dainik Jagran bagged a Gold and a Silver in the ‘Best in Marketing’ category for its campaigns Daughter’s Diary and Tackling air pollution, respectively. The Hindi daily bagged the Gold and Silver in the “Best in Community Service” category for its campaigns on Self-Defence for Women and Prevention of Child Abuse, respectively.

Basant Rathore, Senior VP, Strategy, Brand & Business Development, Jagran Prakashan, said, “It’s encouraging to see our team creating such innovative ideas consistently. Each of these ideas comes from the core essence of our brand. These awards are an apt recognition for the hard work put in by our teams across all markets. India Today magazine won a Gold for Best in Photojournalism (Feature photography) for ‘Save The Taj’ and a Silver for Magazine Infographics titled ‘Is The Taj Doomed?’.

The Hindu was awarded a Gold for Best in Print among newspapers above 150k circulation category. In this category, The Times of India, Airoli, Mumbai, was awarded a Silver; while The Times of India, Kandivali, Mumbai; The Times of India, New Delhi and The Telegraph, Kolkatta won a Bronze each.
