publive-imageTo address the challenges and explore further opportunities in Power Sector in Uttar Pradesh, Dainik Bhaskar Group is organizing Uttar Pradesh Power Conclave 2011 in Noida at the Radisson Hotel today. The one of its kind state specific Power Conclave for Uttar Pradesh has been conceptualized by National Government Vertical of Dainik Bhaskar Group. The chief guest at the conclave is Power Secretary, UP Government and Chairman and Managing Director of UPPCL (Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited) Navneet Sehgal.

Other dignitaries from Power sector at the conclave are: S.K. Agarwal, Director - Finance, UPPCL; H.D. Khunteta, Director - Finance, Rural Electrification Corporation; Murali Rangnathan, CEO, Torrent Power; Ashok Khurana, Ex-Additional  Secretary of Association of Power Producers and Power Ministry and R. R. Nayar, Director of Lenco Aanpara Power. The Guest of Honour at the conclave is Rama Raman, Chairman of Greater Noida Authority and CEO of Noida Authority.

Speaking about the Power Conclave, Jaideep Dhagat, Senior General Manager & Business Head, National Government Vertical, Dainik Bhaskar Group, said, “This conclave is divided into three sessions. In the first session, development in the field of power production with the possibilities in power sector in Uttar Pradesh would be discussed. In the second session, there would be a discussion regarding the challenges and the ways to overcome the demand-supply gap of power in the state. Status of distribution areas of power would also be discussed at the conclave.”
