Aspire Cerebro, the healthcare brand strategy and creative agency with offices in India and Canada, has announced the appointment of Sanjeev Chopra as its Chief Executive Officer. He is the first person to take up this newly created position in the company.

Chopra has been associated with the healthcare industry for more than 24 years and has played different roles in communication, marketing, and sales. He joins Aspire Cerebro from Publicis Communications Private Limited, where he was a Senior Vice-President and had a decade-long stint. At Publicis, Chopra played a key role in setting up and running the healthcare practice of the agency in India. Chopra had stints with McCann Health, Eli Lilly and Company and Wockhardt Limited.

Chopra said, “I am honoured to join Aspire Cerebro, a multi-speciality communications agency that has successfully evolved to provide effective communication solutions to its clients in the healthcare domain. By attracting and nurturing exceptional talent, exhibiting high level of commitment towards its clients, having robust operational efficiencies and excellence for awards; the agency is indeed poised to be on the growth trajectory in domestic as well as international markets, and I am excited to join at this time.”

Chopra will be responsible for enhancing client experiences, evolving the services, expanding across various therapies, and ultimately delivering Aspire Cerebro’s strategic plans. Along with an intensified focus on improving the productivity by means of best practices in advertising, with his extra-ordinary understanding of the industry and close-knit exposure of international markets, Chopra will set systems and processes to continue to innovate and grow our business in India.

Aspire Cerebro also announced its expansion plans in North America, which will be driven by founders and mentors Amit Bhagchandani and Rajeev Roy.

Amit Bhagchandani

Bhagchandani said, “I am excited to have Sanjeev to take on the responsibility of fulfilling the expectations of our clients in healthcare advertising. This is not an easy job and I thank him for taking this on as this gives Rajeev and me some room to think what’s next for our clients and our committed team in global markets. Sanjeev will bring in broader advertising experience, which adds up to current understanding of our healthcare landscape.”

Bhagchandani added, “I am confident that he will add new services and dimensions to the foundation of integrity, creativity, customer centricity, passion and commitment to quality, which we have been demonstrating to our clients.”

Rajeev Roy

Roy said, “In my experience spanning more than 25 years, I have seen numerous cases where promoters become a hindrance to the growth of the company after a certain stage. We always wanted the company to grow bigger than us and hence have been working for the last five years in building an organisation that can be run by a professional team. We are thrilled with the growth of employees within the organisation into leadership roles, which has also translated into expanded client relationships and hence revenue growth. We are now ready as we welcome Sanjeev to head the leadership team as the organisation embarks on the next stage of growth. We, as promoters, will continue to support the team in growing and managing the business while we focus on building the North American business.”

Roy added, “Our customers have consistently praised us for our creative and impactful communications clubbed with very high reliability and accessibility. We want to extend these capabilities to the North America market while bringing the latest technologies and thinking from those markets to Indian companies. It is with this intention we have started our operations in North America region.”
