Sequoia Capital’s Atit Mehta will join Byju’s as Marketing Head. Mehta, who is currently Vice-President and Head of Media at Sequoia Capital, will take care of the India and international markets in his new role at Byju’s and will join in the first week of January next year.
Sequoia Capital India is an investor in Byju’s. The edutech giant had raised $200 million in investments recently.
Mehta who has a Masters in Marketing and Advertising from Lala Lajpatrai Institute of Management has vast experience in the media and advertising business.
Prior to joining Sequoia Capital in 2015, Mehta was Media Director, South Asia, at Hindustan Unilever Limited. He has also served as Country Media Manager at Colgate Palmolive and Business Director at GroupM.
