There is a 51% decline in the number of advertisers on TV during the first 19 matches of IPL 2023 compared to the last year, according to the BARC India data for Week 15.
The BARC data shows that there were 35 advertisers advertising on television in 2023 versus 72 in 2022.
In terms of the number of brands advertising on television, there is a 43% drop this year. There were 67 brands that advertised on TV in the first 19 matches versus 118 brands during the same period last year.
Disney Star is the official television media rights holder of IPL which roped in 13 sponsors for the 16th season of the tournament.
