Sumit Mathur, who moved on from Kellogg India as their Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) a month ago, has joined Paytm as CMO.

Taking to LinkedIn, Mathur wrote, "Nothing’s more exciting for a marketeer than the opportunity to literally touch the lives of every Indian and every merchant. Super excited to kickstart my own journey with Paytm and make #harpaymentdigital."

In February, to announce the wrap of his journey at Kellogg India, Mathur took to LinkedIn where he posted saying that week would be his ‘last serving’ of the Kellogg’s bowl. He served the company for around five years and seven months.

In his post, he also listed down a couple of personal reflections of his time at Kellogg India and pointed out that 20% of his time was spent figuring out why will anyone eat cereals, 5% in deciding what to do and the remaining 75% in executing it.

Prior to joining the cereal manufacturing company, Mathur was associated with Hindustan Unilever for a period of fourteen-and-a-half years across various marketing roles like Area Sales Manager, Senior Brand Manager, Marketing Manager, Category Director- Ice Creams (South Asia) and finally as the GM- Ice Cream (India).

Currently, Mathur is also the Co-Chair Marketing Leadership Committee at the Confederation of Indian Industry and a Member - The Consumer Complaints Council at the Advertising Standards Council of India.
