Prasar Bharati has invited applications for allotment of MPEG-4 slots of DD Freedish platform for the period between April 1, 2023, to March 31, 2024, through annual e-auction process.
The tentative date for e-auction is February 16, 2023.
As per the notice by Prasar Bharati, only those satellite channels which are licensed by Information and Broadcasting Ministry will be allowed to participate in the e-auction for allocation of DD Freedish slot.
“International public broadcasters licensed by the Ministry of I&B can also participate in the e-auction. Bidding in the e-auction of MPEG-4 slots will be open to all genre (language) channels at a reserve price of Rs 50 lakh/annum,” the notice stated.
The interested broadcasters have been asked to apply online at https://fdslots.prasarbharati.org and upload all documents as prescribed in the application.
A non-refundable processing fee of Rs 25,000 is to be paid for submitting the application. The last date for sending the participation fee (Rs 10 lakh) in the form of demand draft, after submission of online application, is February 13, 2023.
