Former CEO and Editor-in-Chief of Zee Media Sudhir Chaudhary has joined Aaj Tak as Consulting Editor.
Chaudhary and Aaj Tak will collaborate to bring to their 100 million viewers a new show anchored by him. This show will be under the supervision of News Director Supriya Prasad.
Announcing the development to the TV Today staff, India Today Group Vice-Chairperson Kalli Purie said, “I know the mills have been hyperactive and this announcement should give a closure :-). The natural home for a household name in news is always Aaj Tak!”
"Chaudhary was last seen on the award-winning, highly-engaging, TRP record-setting show DNA on Zee News. He has one of the largest followings on social media and a galaxy of awards from every reputable organization," she said.
“I am glad he has taken a call that will not disappoint his fans who are paramount for him. It’s excellent that his first venture is in alliance with us, and I hope that we will be able to work together on other projects. I also wish him well for his non-news initiatives,” Purie added.
