Abby 2022 concluded on Saturday with a completely new order in the creative world where the Leo Burnett Group won the Creative Agency of the Year title. Leo Burnett was one of the agencies that made a comeback to the ace Indian advertising awards this year.
On winning the creative agency of the year award, Dheeraj Sinha, CEO Leo Burnett - South Asia; Chairman BBH India, commented, "This is a testimony to the agency that we have been building since the past 4 years. That we have won for brands across - Jeep, Spotify, P&G, CarDekho, Amazon, Twitter and so on means that we now have a culture of excellence at the agency. This also shows the depth of talent and client relations that we have. Great to be back at Goafest and in this way."
"The only thing which matters in our business is creativity and work and that's what we've been chasing since the past 4 years. The quality and quantity of work that we produced has set the benchmark for itself. Our motto is epic brands, epic work," added Rajdeepak Das, CEO and Chief Creative Officer, South Asia, Leo Burnett.
Famous Innovations bagged its second Grand Prix in the OOH/Ambient Media category for the campaign “The Applegram” for Radio Zindagi.
Famous Innovations is also the second runner-up agency for this year, followed by FCB India and Enormous Brands.
FCB India Group grabbed a Gold in the Young Abby category for Parle-G’s “Can an imaginary girl help real children” campaign.
Cheil India fetched a Gold for its campaign “OOHO Replies” in the Red Abby category. VMLY&R got the only Gold in the Green Abby category for Maxx Flash’s “The Killer Pack” campaign.
There was no Gold in the Diversity, Equality and Inclusion category. FCB India Group, Grey India and Superfly Films fetched a Silver each in the category.
In the category that received the highest number of entries, Video Craft, Abby has awarded 8 Gold, 7 Silver, 17 Bronze and 19 Merits. Good Morning Films fetched 5 Golds and Early Man Films fetched 3 Golds in the category.
Cheil India has been awarded as the Specialist agency of the year in the Branded Content and Entertainment category.
The Leo Burnett Group fetched the Specialist Agency of the Year Award in the Brand Activation and promotion category.
This year, Radio as a category received the least number of entries with no Gold, one Silver, one Bronze and a Merit.
In the Still Print category, Famous Innovations bagged 4 Silvers. Leo Burnett and Havas Worldwide too fetched a Silver each. There was no Gold in the category.
In the Still Digital category, Havas, Leo Burnett and Cheil India won a Silver each. Again, the category had no Gold.
Famous Innovations bagged the only Gold in the Still Craft category for Tadoba Wildlife Sanctuary and Irai Safari’s “Avoid Humans - Deceit” campaign.
In the Audio-Visual Digital category, FCB Group India fetched 3 Gold. Enormous Brands, grey Group India and The Leo Burnett Group have got a Gold each.
Enormous Brands won 2 Golds for Jaquar Bath and Lights in the Audio Visual TV category.
The only Gold in the integrated category was given to Grey Group for Gillette India’s “Shaving Stereotypes - Barbershop Girls of India.
Altogether, two Grand Prix, 50 Gold, 130 Silver, 208 Bronze and 137 Merit were awarded across 22 creative categories.
