Goafest is just round the corner and it is finally going to be back in full swing after two years. This time, the excitement within the ad fraternity is a bit different because the bigshots have decided not to hold back their excitement, instead, they are spreading infectious vibes and are dancing to the tunes of rapper Badshah’s song ‘Jugnu’.
The video features Rohit Ohri, Chairman and CEO, FCB Group India; Sam Balsara, Chairman, Madison World; Anupriya Acharya, CEO, Publicis Groupe, South Asia; Jaideep Gandhi, Founder, Another Idea and Chairman Goafest 2022 and Arvind Sharma, Chairman, Good Brands For A Healthy Life.
It shows the level of excitement which the people of the Indian ad industry feel when it comes to Goafest. Imagining the thrill of being physically present at the gala event is so satisfying that one (Rohit Ohri in this case) can even postpone meetings and forget where they are.
Crafted by FCB India and the brainchild of Moumita Pal, Creative Director at FCB India, the campaign consists of a number of videos. The second part featuring more people will be released soon, informed Ohri.
Interacting with BestMediaInfo.com, Ohri said, “Goafest is coming back after two years, it’s all about bringing out the joy of the festival. We wanted everyone to feel excited about the fact that Goafest is back. So, there was no better way than to use industry veterans to do this because even they are as excited. We also wanted to talk to the young people so we thought this is a fun way to get the message across.”
There are more such videos coming up and it is being done to inspire others and raise the excitement levels, said Anupriya Acharya, CEO, Publicis Groupe, South Asia, while speaking with BestMediaInfo.com.
Acharya said, “With this, we wanted to muster some excitement and then we all, as you saw in the video, shake a leg. We’re also hoping to inspire others through this video to generate more excitement around Goafest 2022, as the fest is back after two years.”
Goafest is a making a comeback this year (May 5-7) after a gap of two years owing to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Further, known as the Cannes Lions or the Oscars of the Indian advertising industry, the Abby’s are all set to be a part of Goa Fest. This year will mark the thirteenth Abby Award, after a break of two years due to the pandemic.
This year, Abby’s has joined hands with The One Show, which is one of the world's most prestigious award programs in advertising, design and digital marketing. As a result, a handful of new categories of awards have also been added.
