Tejas Mehta, former COO, WYP, and Isha Sapra, former Lead – Marketing for Gold category and Weddings and Consumer insights, Tanishq, have come together to start a new venture - Ausper.
Both of them have been working on Ausper for the past one year and they made the news public recently through a post on LinkedIn.
As per the post, Ausper, a combination of Auspicious and Prosper, aims to bring innovation in the gold jewellery segment.
The LinkedIn post shared by both Mehta and Sapra, read, “It's an exciting take on the world of gold and gold jewellery, and we believe it is going to raise every woman's delight quotient by several hundred karats. The insatiable desire for gold jewellery needs a solution that not only enables her to buy without thinking twice, but more importantly delivers an experience that is pure delight.”
“And to make this possible, we are building a solution that breathes fresh air, freedom, and thoughtfulness into the category. Ausper - that’s a combination of ‘Auspicious’ and ‘Prosperity’, because that’s what gold is. We wish all of us auspicious, prosperous times. 'Ausper'ous times,” it added.
The founder-duo bring along valuable experience from their respective fields. Mehta holds an experience of more than 12 years in various roles, including COO at What’s Your Problem, Senior Director Strategy and Invention at Mindshare, Group Account Director at Pinstorm, Group Account Director at Contract India and Account Executive at Ogilvy One Worldwide.
Sapra has worked with Titan for close to 12 years in multiple roles. In her last role, she was Leading the Marketing for Gold Category & Weddings and Consumer Insight, Tanishq. Prior to Titan Company, she was the Business Group Head at GroupM for close to seven years.
