Users spent an average of four hours a day on Fire TV devices in India: Fire TV Streaming Trends 2021

One in every three Fire TV users have stopped using DTH/Cable connections altogether, as per Amazon’s Fire TV Streaming Trends for 2021. According to the brand, one in four users have added or upgraded to newer, faster versions of Fire TV devices.

It also said that users spent an average of four-hours daily on Fire TV devices and they called out for Alexa, once every four seconds.

Amazon has introduced new products to the Fire TV category, which seem to have been accepted by the Indian consumer base. It said that small cities such as Hisar, Tiruvallur, Chittoor, Alwar, Imphal, and South Andaman saw increased growth in sales of Fire TV devices.

As per the brand, Fire TV Stick was among the top 10 most popular products on Amazon.in during Prime Day and Amazon Great Indian Festival. It was also a popular gifting item, with 35% of customers gifting or sharing Fire TV devices with their friends and families.

In line with previous years, comedy was once again the most-watched genre on Fire TV, as per the trends for 2021. Fire TV users asked Alexa to play ‘Tarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah’ once every minute, making it the most-searched TV show on Fire TV devices.

‘Peppa Pig’, ‘Doremon’, and ‘Cocomelon’ were the most popular kids show on Fire TV devices, with at least one user asking Alexa for these shows every minute, the trends suggested.

‘The Family Man Season 2’ was the most-streamed Indian show while ‘The Wheel of Time’ was the most streamed international show on Prime Video on Fire TV devices.
