Avik Chatterjee, a marketing expert with experience of more than 17 years, has joined The Walt Disney Company as Vice President & Head of Marketing – Emerging Sports for Start Sports.

Armed with my enthusiasm for sports and my cross-sectoral marketing experience, I look forward to driving the consumer strategy for emerging sports and catalyze India's transformation into a multi-sport nation,” Chatterjee wrote in a LinkedIn post.
In his last stint with Visa, he was the Director, Consumer Marketing – India & South Asia where he served for four years and was looking after the consumer marketing for Visa India & South Asia through integrated marketing strategies.
The role also included brand and product communication, partnerships and promotions, managing deliverables through Visa's creative, media, digital and other agency partners.
Chatterjee had joined Visa from Vodafone (now known as Vi) where he was the AGM – Consumer Segment Marketing for around two years. At Vi, he helped the brand in designing and delivering consumer segment strategies for rural and High-Value Customers (HVC).
His longest stint, which was for more than six-and-a-half years, was with Mars where he joined as Market Manager Singapore (Internship) and took an exit as a Portfolio Manager. The role included extensive portfolio management, ATL/BTL & Media Planning, and Project Management.
Chatterjee started his career with Capgemini in February 2004 as Consultant, Business Analyst.
