Jubilant Foodworks launches US chicken brand Popeyes in India

Jubilant Foodworks (JFL) has launched the US fried chicken brand Popeyes in India, with the opening of its first restaurant in Bengaluru on Wednesday.

Popeyes, best known for its spicy fried chicken and chicken sandwich, aims to introduce Indian customers to the flavours of its Louisiana-style chicken.

Louisiana born, Popeyes was founded in 1972 and is popular in America.

The Popeyes India menu will feature the signature Cajun-flavoured, chicken sandwich.

Complementing the menu is Popeyes signature Chicken in Classic and Spicy flavours. The Indian menu will also feature an array of vegetarian options. It will also have rice bowls and wraps as part of the wholesome meal options to ensure everyone can get a chance to enjoy the experience.

The launch of the flagship store in Koramangala will be followed by opening of stores in New BEL Road and Kammanahalli.

The brand will have its own app, both android and iOS, and mobile website which will allow customers to experience the food at home as well.
