DD National tops YouTube live viewership of R-Day Parade; Aaj Tak only private channel close to DD

Doordarshan came in at the top with 4.75 lakh peak views, followed by Aaj Tak clocking 2.93 lakh peak live views

DD National tops YouTube live viewership of R-Day Parade; Aaj Tak only private channel close to DD

Public broadcaster Doordarshan has once again topped the YouTube viewership charts for the Republic Day Parade feed with a peak viewership of 4.75 lakh. Aaj Tak, with a YouTube subscriber base of 4.93 crore, came in second with a peak viewership of 2.93 lakh. 

Aaj Tak had an average live viewership of 2,52,530, and it is the only channel that came close to the national broadcaster. 

Third on the list was Zee with 1.08 lakh peak views, followed by India TV which had 74,537 at its peak. 

ABP news stood at 41,084 peak views, while Republic Bharat had 31,204 peak views.  

On the other hand, NDTV India, the Hindi feed clocked 20,053 peak views and 16,291 average live views. 

India Today TV was the highest watched English feed with 54,501 peak views and an average live viewership of 41,257. 

Republic TV was the second-placed English feed with 17,935 peak views and 15,939 average live views. 

NDTV 24x7 clocked 13,850 peak views and 9,538 average live views.

All of the private channels were taking the live parade feed from Doordarshan. 

As per the Twitter feed of Prasar Bharati, the preparation for the coverage of the parade had been a long process with meticulous attention to detail. Fifty-nine HD facility cameras were placed between Rashtrapati Bhavan and National Stadium. 26 cameras were placed around the Republic Day Saluting area, enabling a bird-eye view and a fish-eye view of the ceremony for the viewers.
