Haresh Nayak, President, Posterscope Asia Pacific and Managing Director of Posterscope India, has put in his papers at dentsu. The company confirmed the news to BestMediaInfo.com.
In a statement sent to BestMediaInfo, dentsu International India said after Nayak’s departure from the company, dentsu’s OOH businesses will be aligned with Amplifi, the company’s supply-side management platform, under the leadership of Divya Karani, CEO, Media India.
Sahil Arora, SVP & Head of CSR, Indeed, dentsu India has also exited the company.
In the statement, dentsu wrote, “To stay ahead of the growth opportunities and potential we see for our clients and our teams, we are accelerating into dentsu India 2.0. This is crucial to realising our global ambition of becoming the most integrated network in the world, simplifying and transforming our business to deliver greater agility, speed to market, and increased value to our clients.”
It further mentioned, “Out-of-home advertising is incredibly important part of the media environment for dentsu and our clients, and we will continue to grow our market-leading expertise and results in outdoor advertising with a strong and continued focus on innovation, locally relevant solutions and integration to deliver competitive advantage to our clients.”
His exit from the global advertising network follows several other major leaders leaving the company, including Santosh Padhi (CCO and Co-Founder, Taproot dentsu), Agnello Dias (Former CCO and Co-Founder, Taproot dentsu), Anand Bhadkamkar (CEO, dentsu India), Vivek Bhargava ((Head of Performance Group, dentsu International), Shamsuddin Jasani (Group MD, South Asia, Isobar), Gautam Mehra (Chief Data & Product Officer, dentsu Asia Pacific (APAC) & CEO, dentsu Programmatic, South Asia), Rubeena Singh (CEO, iProspect), Gopa Kumar (COO, Isobar India) and many others.
Nayak joined Posterscope India in 2008 as General Manager to launch the brand in the market. He also launched four additional brands — Brandscope, Hyperspace, PSI and Ambient OOH, under Posterscope Group India. He was elevated to the position of Posterscope’s APAC President last year.
Prior to joining Posterscope, Nayak was Business Director and National Buying Head at IPG India for six years.
