Amul pays tribute to Anil Kapoor of FCB Ulka in its own style

The brand has been a long-time partner of the agency, which has created memorable campaigns for it

Amul has paid a beautiful tribute to advertising stalwart Anil Kapoor who passed away on Monday. The milk products brand has been long-time partners with FCB Ulka, which has created many memorable campaigns for it.

Shashi Sinha, CEO, IPG Mediabrands, shared the tribute on Twitter and called it a wonderful gesture. In Amul’s iconic style, the brand said, “You will always be a part of our family” along with Kapoor and the famous Amul girl.

Ashish Bhasin, Chief Executive Officer, Asia-Pacific and Chairman India, Dentsu, thanked the brand for being a wonderful client to their agency while replying to Sinha.

Apart from Bhasin, many industry players have praised the tribute. Avinash Kaul, Managing Director, A+E Networks, TV18 and CEO-Broadcast for Network18, called it a beautiful gesture.

V Bhaskar Preenja, Senior Vice-President and General Manager at Contract India, said, “Respect is always reciprocated. The agency, the client, the person. All well-deserving. My prayers.”

Kapoor, popularly known as Billy in the ad world, passed away after battling cancer. His association with FCB Ulka dates to three decades. He was the former Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the FCB-Ulka Group. Kapoor was appointed chairman emeritus of Draftfcb Ulka in September 2010.
