Pallavi Singh, Marketing Director of BMW India, has decided to move on after almost two years at the company. Announcing her exit in a post on LinkedIn, Singh said she has ‘decided to take a break from her ‘job’ to seek answers and reflect on new ways of doing ‘work’.
Singh has created a website as part of her sabbatical. She says after working with brands for 15 years, her focus will be on driving impact projects and initiatives for brand start-ups and non-profits. During her break, she intends to focus on being a part of panel discussions and interviews, consulting and writing opinion pieces, articles and blogs.
She said she took this decision because ‘she is cognisant of the fact that the world is changing fundamentally and radically across various domains and dimensions, especially after the onslaught of Covid-19’.
“Hence, my focus and efforts are now aimed at engaging with businesses, brands, start-ups, and non-profits to work on demystifying and leveraging our digital-first reality, creating data-centric strategies for business, and building purpose and vision-based programs,” she wrote.
Singh joined BMW in 2019 and led their marketing communication, CRM, and product organisation. She previously worked with Morris Garages for about two years and with Harley-Davidson for around eight years in various positions in the marketing vertical. She was instrumental in marketing MG's first product, Hector, in India. She started her career with Yamaha Motor in the marketing division in 2007.
She has made it to the Brand Illustrated Magazine’s Top 50 Indian women in marketing and has won the corporate business leader award by the World Association of Women Warriors.
