Indian Cricket Team Captain Virat Kohli has chosen to become the face of Digit Insurance, a general insurance company that became the first unicorn of 2021 with a valuation of $1.9B.
Joining Digit Insurance, Kohli said, âInsurance is important to protect oneâs family, savings, and future. And given my life-stage, I understand its need more than ever. But insurance is so complicated, and people procrastinate buying it. Therefore, Digit Insurance's mission of 'making insurance simple' caught my attention and I am happy to join their journey to spread awareness about insurance.â

The Fairfax-backed insurance company, Digit Insurance, headquartered in Bengaluru, was started with a mission of making insurance simple. Digit Insurance claims to have earned over 1.5 crore customers and $1.45% market share as on December 2020 in its three years of operation. It has also been rated 5-star on Facebook by its customers. Digit was able to get the Indian Menâs Cricket Team Captain invest in the company before he planned to become the face for the brand.
