The One Club for Creativity has announced that The One Show Greater China Awards will be replaced this year with The One Show Asia Showcase 2020, a free expanded programme where the best work from the entire region will be showcased online for the world to see.

Creativity is a light in the dark
2020 has turned out to be a difficult year for everybody. With the global pandemic and other chaos, both political and social, the path in front of us has become dimmer.
However, it’s only during the darkest moments that you can see the brightest stars. Creativity can be that star and light that gives direction and the confidence and courage to keep going.
Open to all of Asia*
As most other advertising award shows are being put on hold, The One Club decided to expand the scope from Greater China to Asia*. The showcase will show the best works from the perspective of Asian cultural insights and the world standard.
The eligible regions are: India, Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Burma, Cambodia, Mainland China, East Timor, Georgia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Iran, Israel, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, North Korea, Oman, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Syria, Taiwan, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkey, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Yemen.
Awards this year become a showcase
There will be no One Show Greater China Awards and no Gold, Silver or Bronze. Instead, certificates will be presented to celebrate the work that has been selected to be in the One Show Asia Showcase 2020.
Diverse selection committee
A list of creative leaders from Asia will review submissions and curate The One Show Asia Showcase 2020. They will select influential creative works while bringing in both international and local perspectives into the process.
Free to submit
In hard times, it’s more important than ever to uphold our non-profit mission to support the creative community and recognise the people who worked so hard to create the world’s best work in the past year. Therefore, this year’s showcase will be free to submit. All of the costs for this year’s showcase will be covered by The One Club for Creativity and the One Club Greater China Office.
Global online showcase and international appearance
The selected works will be displayed in the form of a worldwide showcase, so more people can see the great work from Asia this year. With The One Club’s global influence, it’s a great opportunity for agencies to get creative work and teams recognised by the worldwide creative community.
