Khan started his career in Pune with Seagull advertising after doing his Bachelors in Fine Arts from Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Fine Arts & Crafts. In 2011, he tried his luck at Portfolio Night and was noticed by Ramanuj Shastry, then Chief Creative Officer of Saatchi & Saatchi. He joined Saatchi & Saatchi and worked on brands such as P&G, Springwel Mattress and many others.

In 2013, when Shastry and Nisha Singhania, set up their agency Infectious, Khan was the first person they hired. Since then he has gone on to becoming one of the pillars of the agency. He has worked on several high profile brands such as &TV, Tasty Treat, HCL, Camlin, Tata Capital, Inorbit Malls, TBZ, etc. Khan recently co-founded Apni Public Project — an initiative to raise funds for feeding the hungry through art and it has raised almost Rs 2 lakh in two months for Khaana Chahiye.

Khan said, “Working with Infectious has been one of the best learning experiences of life. From a fresher to now Head of Art, the place has really groomed me. The nurturing atmosphere that Nisha and Ramanuj have created is a big motivator to better oneself and I hope I continue to grow along with the agency. Looking forward to the journey ahead.”

Shastry added, “Hiring is the most high-risk job in a ‘talent business’ like advertising. But in case of Imran, we lucked out. In the decade that I have known him closely he has only grown in my eyes — as a craftsman and, more importantly, as a human being. I expect great things from him. All the best, Imran!”

Singhania added, “Imran is an asset for us. He is dependable, mature and a fantastic team leader. He truly represents our culture and stands for everything Infectious is. I am sure he will grow to great heights. All the best Imran.”
