Talking about the campaign, Rajan Bhalla, Chief Business Officer and Group CMO, HT Media, said, “Hindustan Times always steps forward to serve the nation through credible news via responsible journalism— and this campaign recognises all professionals, groups and communities embodying the same responsible value.”

“HT salutes our real heroes who put the nation first before self and risk their lives in an effort to contain the pandemic. These warriors have taken the lead in boldly stepping forward in the fight for a better tomorrow. We will cover seven core constituents (medics, journalists, police, essential service providers, SMEs providing necessary life-saving equipment, chemists, groceries) under the programme. After all most of us are safe at home because some have chosen to step out,” he added.

In its statement regarding the campaign, Hindustan Times urged people to share the campaign with everyday frontline workers and appreciate their efforts. It also urged people to share their pictures or videos saluting the warriors.

“Even in these times of distress, our doctors, policemen, shopkeepers, sanitation workers, journalists, and newspaper vendors are out there risking it all. So that we can feel a little safer. #HTSalutes these brave hearts and their undying spirit. Share this film with every brave heart you know and let them know how grateful you are for their service to the nation. Share your pictures or videos saluting the Covid-19 warriors around you and get featured,” the statement said.
