Oppo strengthens India leadership, appoints Sumit Walia as VP, Product & Marketing

Walia will spearhead localisation efforts in product and marketing at Oppo India. He will lead the India market and will focus on building and growing Oppo in the competitive mobile handset space in India

Smartphone brand Oppo has announced Sumit Walia as Vice-President, Product and Marketing, to further strengthen Oppo’s product offering and establish a stronger connect with Indian consumers.

Walia has worn multiple hats throughout his career in the technology and telecom space. Walia will spearhead the localisation efforts in Product and Marketing at Oppo India. He will lead the India market and will focus on building and growing the Oppo brand in the highly competitive mobile handset space in India.

Oppo has always had a 360-degree product and marketing approach targeting its consumers. Oppo believes in providing advanced technological innovation through its extensive  R&D infrastructure.

Walia comes to Oppo with over two decades of experience. A veteran of the technology and telecom space, Walia has worked with multiple brands managing diverse portfolios for Samsung, Huawei, LG Electronics and Videocon.
