For the first time, BBDO Worldwide has opened the position of Global CMO and appointed Crytal Rix to the post. In addition to the new role, Rix will continue to serve as Chief Strategy Officer of BBDO New York, a post she presently holds.
Rix has been with BBDO for 15 years now and will report to BBDO Worldwide President and CEO Andrew Robertson in the new position.
As the Global CMO, Rix will focus on further enhancing BBDOâ€™s offering to make sure the present and prospective clients receive the maximum value possible from the agency. She will also play a key role in business development at the agency.
Robertson said, "Over the last 18 months, Crystal has led a team that developed and implemented â€˜BBDO Works,â€™ our new planning process, across the network. She has been a major contributor to important business wins over the years."
Rix was the Chief Strategy Officer with BBDO New York for more than two years, prior to which she was the Director of Business Development for almost six years. She had joined the agency in 2004 as a Senior Brand Strategist.
