Mayur Hola will head creative for OYO, India and South East Asia

Mayur Hola has joined OYO, the hospitality company, consisting mainly of budget hotels, as Head of Creative for India and South East Asia. Prior to this, Hola was National Creative Director for Havas India for a few months.

Talking about his short stint at Havas India and about joining OYO, Hola told BestMediaInfo.com, “Havas was wonderful to be honest, they were very nice people. Being there, it was the right move at the right time. But this just came out of the blue, I wasn’t looking out at all. OYO looked me up, they found me, checked my website and so on and so forth. Quite honestly, it’s a career path decision, and it’s something which I couldn’t say no to at this point. I have been trying to get on the brand side for a while, it’s just one of those things that come up and you can’t say no to it.”

Across a career spanning nearly two decades, Hola has worked at agencies such as McCann, Ogilvy, Contract, TBWA, and Grey and has experience across various categories and brands such as Truly Madly, Domino’s, Pan Vilas, Vivo, North Star, Truecaller, Tata Docomo, National Geographic and KFC. He has many national and international awards to his credit, including the Abbys, Effies, Cannes and Spikes.

This move by OYO to grab a current and known name from Indian advertising is a trend being observed with brands and consultancies across the globe looking to set up high quality in-house creative.
