Essence, a global data and measurement-driven media agency, which is part of GroupM, has announced the appointment of Oindrila Roy as Head of Strategy and Rahul Marwaha as Vice-President, Digital Media Activation in India. Roy and Marwaha will work closely with Anand Chakravarthy, Managing Director, India, at Essence.
Roy will develop and apply audience, market and product insights to identify challenges and opportunities, and deliver against clientsâ business objectives. She will also inspire consumer-first excellence and champion best practices in the strategy discipline. With almost two decades of experience, Roy has worked at Leo Burnett, Saatchi & Saatchi, JWT and Lowe Lintas.
In his role, Marwaha will be responsible for overseeing digital media buying and optimisation for all of the agencyâs clients in the market. With over 15 years of industry experience, he was most recently at IPG Mediabrandsâ Interactive Avenues where he drove innovative digital marketing solutions for brands through marketing, strategy, creative and tactical implementation.Â
