GEC Watch: Zee Anmol maintains its lead in U+R market in Week 51

Star Plus remained its hold at the top spot in the Urban market while Rishtey entered the list with 417.356 million Impressions

Television ratings didn’t witness much change in the pecking order for Week 51 of BARC ratings. FTA channel Zee Anmol led the combined U+R and Rural markets while Star Plus maintained its lead in the Urban markets.

Top channels in U+R market


According to BARC data, India HSM (Urban+Rural): NCCS All: 2+ Individuals, for Week 51 (December 15-December 21) of 2018, Zee Anmol at the No.1 position clocked 764.424 million Impressions (last week 778.209 million Impressions). Star Plus took the second spot with 726.911 million Impressions (last week 745.182 million Impressions). Zee TV maintained its third position with 714.003 million Impressions (last week 695.276 million Impressions) followed by Star Bharat with 685.395 million Impressions (last week 740.960 million Impressions).  Star Utsav with 561.540 million Impressions (last week 619.540 million Impressions) took the fifth spot, followed by Colors with 551.706 million Impressions (last week 552.334 million Impressions). Sony Pal stayed at the seventh rank with 518.218 million Impressions (last week 500.363 million Impressions). Sony Entertainment Television with 497.633 million Impressions (last week 476.220 million Impressions) took the eighth rank. Dangal TV with 446.359 million Impressions (last week 413.567 million Impressions) got the ninth rank. Rishtey replaced Sony Sab with million Impressions.

Zee Anmol’s Kumkum Bhagya stayed at the top spot, logging 15.077 million Impressions (last week 14.053 million Impressions) followed by Colors’ Naagin 3 with 13.051 million Impressions (last week 13.190 million Impressions) while Zee TV’s Kundali Bhagya continued to stay at the third spot with 11.440 (last week 12.275 million Impressions). Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya followed at the fourth spot with 10.600 million Impressions (last week 10.580 million Impressions). Star Bharat’s Radhakrishn at the fifth rank and registered 10.496 million Impressions (last week 10.464 million Impressions).

Top channels in Urban market


In Week 51, Star Plus maintained its lead in the urban market. The channel stayed at the No. 1 position, garnering 508.025 million Impressions (last week 514.412 million Impressions). Zee TV maintained the No. 2 position, registering 435.917 million Impressions (last week 421.807 million Impressions) followed by Colors at third spot with 382.716 million Impressions (last week 379.774 million Impressions). Sony Entertainment Television stayed at the No.4 position, registering 368.641 million impressions (last week 354.395 million Impressions).  Star Bharat with 341.673 million Impressions (last week 341.121 million Impressions) took No.5 position. Sony SAB stayed at No.6 with 299.705 million Impressions (last week 310.319 million Impressions) and Star Utsav clocked 195.085 million Impressions (last week 202.238 million Impressions) at seventh position. It was followed by Sony Pal at eighth position with 154.418 million Impressions (last week 151.485 million Impressions). Zee Anmol slipped to ninth position with 144312 million Impressions (last week 151.485million Impressions) and &TV at No.10 with 135.752 million Impressions (last week 117.245 million Impressions).

Colors’ Naagin 3 maintained the top spot and registered 8.437 million Impressions (last week 8.644 million Impressions). Zee TV’s Kundali Bhagya dropped to the second rank with 7.347 million Impressions (last week 7.789 million Impressions). Sony SAB’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma entered the list on third rank with 6.733 million Impressions. Star Plus’ Kulfi Kumar Bajewala stayed at the fourth rank with 6.627 million Impressions (last week 6.187 million Impressions). Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya dropped to the fifth rank and clocked 6.623 million Impressions (last week 7.789 million Impressions).

Top channels in Rural market

Zee Anmol remained at No. 1 position and clocked 620.112 million Impressions (last week 626.723 million Impressions). Star Utsav stayed at the second spot with 366.455 million Impressions (last week 417.302 million Impressions) whereas Sony Pal at No.3 position clocked 363.800 million Impressions (last week 345.993 million Impressions). Dangal TV swapped place with Star Bharat swapped for the fourth position, respectively.

Dangal TV garnered 348.979 million Impressions (last week 319.031 million Impressions) while Star Bharat clocked 343.723 million Impressions. Rishtey grabbed sixth position with 304.760 million Impressions (last week 292.228 million Impressions) while Zee TV stayed at seventh with 278.086 million Impressions (last week 273.469 million Impressions). At No.8, Star Plus logged 218.885 million Impressions (last week 230.770 million Impressions). It was followed by Big Magic at the ninth position, clocking 196.686 million Impressions (last week 203.717 million Impressions). Colors at No. 10 position clocked 168.990 million Impressions (last week 172.559 million Impressions).

Top shows in Rural market

Zee Anmol’s Kumkum Bhagya remained at No.1 position and registered 12.594 million Impressions (last week 11.579 million Impressions). Dangal TV’s Ramayan stayed at second spot with 7.579 million Impressions (last week 7.055 million Impressions) Zee Anmol’s Ek Main Aur Ek Tu moved up to the fourth position, registering 6.913 million Impressions (last week 6.497 million Impressions). Sony Pal’s Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma climbed to the fourth position and clocked 6.526 million Impressions (last week 5.821 million Impressions). Zee Anmol’s Mehak dropped to the fifth position and clocked 6.325 million Impressions (last week 6.913 million Impressions).
