Pizza Hut brings Abhay Deol on board with his gang of puppets

Conceptualised by Corcoise Films, the campaign marks the comeback of a celebrity-endorsed campaign by the brand after a gap of eight years

Pizza Hut has released a fresh new campaign featuring actor Abhay Deol and his ‘friends’ – a gang of puppets. Conceptualised by Corcoise Films and directed by Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy, the campaign marks the comeback of a celebrity-endorsed campaign after a gap of eight years. The series of at least four to five films will play out across television and social media over the next few quarters.

Prashant Gaur, Chief Brand Officer, Pizza Hut (India Subcontinent), said, “We chose puppets as a creative device to bring out our key message in a unique but entertaining way. Our association with Abhay Deol for this campaign will enable us to deliver the core proposition of our brand in the most entertaining and engaging way. Deol stands for someone who is self-assured of his choices, has a great taste and is quite confident about it. We are sure our consumers will be overjoyed to see Deol in this playful and distinctive ad from Pizza Hut.”

Pizza often resonates with languor and binging. The new ad hits these chords. It is set in a comfy house where Deol and his puppet friend enjoy their pizza.
