Onida has announced the appointment of Pratyush Chinmoy as their Head of Marketing. His key responsibilities will include planning and execution of marketing strategies, brand and category management, marketing communication and working on building a strong brand presence.
Chinmoy will report to G Sundar, Chief Executive Officer.
Chinmoy has over eight years of experience in Category Marketing Strategy, Brand Management, New Product Launches, Market Research, Digital Marketing, People Management and Customer Acquisition.
Before joining Onida, Chinmoy was serving as Senior Marketing Manager at Reliance Industries Limited. He was also Brand Manager, Wood Finishes, Asian Paints.
Commenting on his appointment and his plans for the brand, Chinmoy said, “One of the few important things that we need to do right now is invest in digital marketing. I am working very actively on putting out a digital strategy. When we launched our new TV, we did an impromptu Facebook live and we garnered 65,000 likes and views with a reach of around 2 lakhs. This kind of ROI can only come from a digital medium. The second thing we will focus on is to streamline all our ATL and BTL activities. We spend on TV, print, OOH, radio, and other mediums. We are looking to consolidate in an area with better ROI. Apart from that, from a brand perspective, we are focusing on the corridors of freedom our brand operates in, our brand architecture and defining the millennial consumer through consumer research.”
