GEC Watch: In Week 45, Star plus leads Urban market, Colors comes next

Zee Anmol continues to lead combined U+R and Rural markets, Zee TV falls in all three markets

Zee Anmol continued to rule the combined U+R and Rural markets in Week 45 of BARC data. Star Plus again emerged as a leader in Urban market followed by Colors.

In Week 45, Zee TV showed a drop in number of Impressions in all three markets.

Top channels in U+R market

According to BARC data, India HSM (Urban+Rural): NCCS All: 2+ Individuals, for Week 45 (November 3 - November 9) of 2018, Zee Anmol maintained the No.1 position garnering 812.653 million Impressions (last week 809.834 million Impressions). 

Star Utsav jumped to N. 2 position from last week’s No. 4, and clocked 666.647 (last week 684.362 million Impressions). Star Bharat remained at No. 3 recording 660.593 million Impressions (last week 758.664 million Impressions). Zee TV dropped to No.4 position registering 644.737 million Impressions (last week 790.406 million Impressions). 

Star Plus remained at No. 5 position and clocked 643.485 million Impressions (last week 658.147 million).Colors at No. 6 registered 593.894 million Impressions (last week 606.875 million). Sony Pal at No. 7 position garnered 591.767 million Impressions (last week 549.560 million Impressions). Sony Entertainment Television at No.8 secured 550.846 million Impressions (last week 557.578 million Impressions). Sony Sab jumped to No. 9 position and garnered 418.069 million Impressions (last week 411.613 million Impressions). Dangal TV dropped to No. 10 position recording 412.661 million Impressions (last week 438.843 million Impressions).

Zee Anmol’s Kumkum Bhagya at No. 1 position logged 13.100 million Impressions (last week 13.006 million Impressions). Colors’ Naagin 3 jumped to No. 2 position and clocked 12.796 million Impressions (last week 12.376 million Impressions).

Zee Anmol’s Mehak jumped to No. 3 position and clocked 11.992 million Impressions (last week 10.551 million Impressions). Zee TV’s Kundali Bhagya dropped to No. 4 position securing 11.332 million Impressions (last week 12.790 million Impressions).

Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya at No. 5 position secured 9.738 million Impressions (last week 10.830 million Impressions).

Top channels in Urban market

In Week 45, Star Plus ruled the Urban market. At No. 1 position it secured 430.435 million Impressions (last week 450.863 million Impressions). 

Colors jumped to No. 2 position and registered 402.857 million Impressions (last week 416.513 million Impressions).Sony Entertainment Television at No. 3 position garnered 401.999 million Impressions (last week 421.046 million Impressions). 

 From last week’s No. 1 position, Zee TV dropped to No. 4 position and registered 387.024 million Impressions (last week 472.928 million Impressions).

Star Bharat at No. 5 clocked 315.784 million Impressions (last week 365.116 million Impressions). Sony Sab at No. 6 position garnered 305.886 million Impressions (last week 309.010 million Impressions). At No. 7, Star Utsav logged 199.599 million Impressions (last week 210.615 million Impressions).

At No. 8, Sony Pal clocked 164.913 million Impressions (last week 171.991 million Impressions). Zee Anmol at No. 9 position clocked 144.853 million Impressions (last week 153.703 million Impressions). At No.10, &TV registered 114.916 million Impressions (last week 120.928 million Impressions).
