Induction of key leaders in Hindustan Times digital team

Nilanjana Jha has joined Hindustan Times as Chief Content Officer. Jha brings over 25 years of experience in print journalism and leading digital editorial teams.

Jha has led teams at Times Internet and NDTV convergence in her last two roles. Jha will be reporting to Shobhana Bhartia, Chairperson and Editorial Director of the Hindustan Times Group, and will carry business reporting to Rajiv Bansal, Chief Digital Officer and CEO, HT Digital Streams Ltd. Jha will head all online editorial teams for the group.

“Nilanjana is already settling into her office on the first floor next to the bridge conference room,” said Bansal in an internal communication.

Anish Nair will be joining the team as the Group Chief Technology Officer on May 14. Nair brings 20 years of experience in technology, having led teams at Jabong and Digit most recently.

Nair has graduate and undergrad engineering degrees in technology and also has an MBA from IIM Calcutta. Nair will head all technology teams including the CIO organisation for the group and will be reporting to Bansal.

“Anish is already working with us in defining our technology processes and architecture in true digital fashion, over Whatsapp,” said Bansal.

R Sukumar, Editor-In-Chief, Hindustan Times will continue to head print operations.
